'Operation Toofan 2.0' Anti-Drug Campaign Launched in Ithikkara Block Panchayat

The block-level launch of ‘Operation Toofan 2.0 – Anti-Drug Campaign’ was organized to keep the younger generation away from drugs and to strengthen anti-drug awareness in society. Ithikkara Block Panchayat President Smt. C. Suseeladevi inaugurated the campaign. Vice President Adv. K. Jayan presided over the function.

The ‘Operation Toofan 2.0’ campaign is being organized with the objective of creating awareness among students, youth, families, and the general public about the ill effects of drugs, as well as spreading anti-drug messages across various levels of society. Since drug use affects not only an individual's health but also family relationships and social life, the campaign highlights the message that preventive actions must be given greater importance.

Along with organizing various awareness initiatives focused on youth and students, programs will be implemented as part of the campaign to educate the public on the health and social consequences of drug abuse. The goal is to intensify anti-drug efforts with the cooperation of schools, youth groups, families, people's organizations, and the general public.

As part of the campaign, Block Panchayat President Smt. C. Suseeladevi hoisted the flag, administered the anti-drug pledge, and distributed badges. It was highlighted at the event that collective action is essential to take the anti-drug message to every family and to foster a healthy lifestyle and sense of social responsibility in the younger generation.
